Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg: New Horizons

Activities

Russian Part of Caucasus | Program Language: RussianNew Horizons

New Horizons promotes inter-ethnic dialogue in the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation.

The program empowers young people to pursue volunteer activism in their local communities and enhances their abilities in overcoming ethnical boundaries.

Every year 50 participants from nine regions in the North Caucasus attend three seminars. They learn practically how to manage conflicts, get trained on project management and work together with individuals from different backgrounds. On that basis, they implement small projects in their cities or regions.

In 2015, 46 participants implemented their projects within New Horizons dealing with anti-discrimination, ecology and cartoons.

New Horizons is supported by the German Foreign Office. It cooperates with the Center for Network Initiatives’ Support and Stavropol Volunteers’ Movement.
